BUSINESS DESCRIPTION Kandy Jones, The Garage Sale Queen, calls herself a redneck Martha Stewart. She explores the world around her and recycles it into something new and unexpected with found objects. Her mixed media mosaics and hypertufa work are found in Little Rocks River Market, Clinton Foundation, Little Rock Zoo, and private collections throughout Arkansas. She is a frequent guest on KATVs Saturday Daybreak, and has appeared with Janet Carson, and Chris Olsen. She has been featured in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, North Little Rock Times, Arkansas Times, and 501 Life. She teaches at the Arkansas Arts Center and Eureka Springs School of Arts. An avid storyteller, she speaks to groups all over Arkansas about the Art of Recycling, and she has been featured on NPRs Tales From the South. She has won the Peoples Choice Award at the 2013 & 2014 Arkansas Sculpture Invitational. In 2014, she was accepted in the Arkansas Arts Center Delta Exhibition and made honorable mention. She loves commissions and helping folks recycle pieces of their lives into glorious works of art! Her work will be shown at the new SOUTH MAIN CREATIVE store, opening September, 2015.
